Broken 360?

Alright so something is wrong with my xbox 360 and I was wondering if anyone had or have heard of the same problem. I'm really good with electronics but I have never seen an xbox do this before.

Whenever I turn on the xbox, it will start up and run perfectly fine but NO lights come on. Also, the wireless controllers WONT connect. I have to either use a wired one or use my plug and play kit. Even when they are connect with the wire, the lights on the xbox saying a controller is connected wont come on.

Now this wouldnt be a problem for me, but I only have one wired controller, so I cant play with anyone but myself. I really dont want to send my xbox in AGAIN, because I already have FIVE times for the RROD. Does anyone know what is wrong or how can I fix it? I looked it up online but people dont seem to know the answer. If no one knows I guess I just have to call up microsoft =/

It sounds like you are enough of a loser that you don't need to play with anyone but yourself.

my 360 was freezing up when i played it for over 3-4 hours, turns out it was pushed up against the corner of my armoir, moved it out a couple inches and it's been perfect since. I play more ps3 now though, good luck to the op.

i had my 360 for 5 years now and no rrod for me. the rrod is a heat issue that happens when you leave it on alot or dont have it well ventilated:fyi:
Not always the case. Ive had mine RROD twice in 4 years. Mine is sitting with absolutely nothing around it and I play maybe twice a week for a couple of hours at a time, maybe....

Guess I have to call Microsoft. FUCK
whats the problem with sending it back if its under warranty? if this really is your 5th time (seems excessive to me, seems like user error) then shipping is overnight too and from, as well as repair is expedited. my 2nd RROD the entire process took 7 days start to finish cause everything was overnighted.

Ive had mine for 3 years, never a single problem. I think people abuse the shit out of them or dont let them ventilate
in most cases, yes, people abuse the hell out of them and dont ventilate them. but from my own experience im very anal about keeping it ventilated (sits in free air, nothing around it) and i dont play it very often. Ive had 2 RROD, 1 time it was actually broken right out of the box. the refurb sent to me kept freezing.

wanna know how to fix it for good?

go to walmart/target. buy a new xbox, cash.

come home, take a hair dryer, remove the warranty label on both of them carefully so you dont void them (more important on the one you just bought)

keep your outer housing, but put the new board/drive/etc from the new xbox in yours. put ur broken shit in the one you just bought. take it back, get ur cash back.

done deal.
