Bridging Question.

This is probably a big noob question but I guess I still am a little bit of a noob but I have a single voice coil subwoofer MTX 7500 and is 4 ohms. If I bridged it with a 2 channel amp is it now a 2 ohm sub? Thanks.

no if you bridge a 2 channel amp connected to that sub it will show a 4 ohm load at the amp.

No. The sub is the source of resistance, not the amp. The lower the resistance (ohms) the more the amp wants to keep driving the signal. If there were no resistance in your faucet (voice coil) then the water pump (amp's power supply) would just burn out because it would run so hard.

Most amps will do exactly as described if they are shown anything lower than a 4 ohm load when bridged.
