bridging question

When you bridge 1 sub does that cut the ohms in half? So if i bridge a 600 watt 4 ohm sub does that mean when i look at the specs of the amp im looking at the rms power at 2 ohms?
No. "Bridging" in itself doesn't cut the ohms in half. But if it's a dual voice coil sub (4 ohms each), connecting it in parallel will. You would end up with 2 ohms.
