the glue in the spider is going to do what it does, you dont need to force it any way, and you cant harm it by playing it hard when its new. its not like a car engine.is there a certain frequency i should play on them to break them in or should i just play songs so there are alot of different frequencies going through them?
But, if the FS of the sub is higher due to extremely stiff suspension and you play it below tuning it may unload. After break in the fs is lower and wouldnt unload as easily.the glue in the spider is going to do what it does, you dont need to force it any way, and you cant harm it by playing it hard when its new. its not like a car engine.
I don't know about the excess glue on the coil myth.well it depends, during break in there is excess glue on the coil that is being burnt off. If you feel the dustcap and it is more than warm to the touch you probably should turn the volume down a hair as that can damage the sub.
