Who'd have thunk my subs were decent? Have two Cerwin Vega DVC 12s in a pretty small box (had to fit it in an 02 Eclipse Spyder, now in my 96 T-Bird). Bought the subs and box for $45 off of Craigslist! Not shattering windows but doesn't sound bad either. Now if I can only get a better amp than the Boss 1100w (lol) Craigslist special I might be in good shape till I upgrade.

Xtant...they still around? I was working at Tweeter in the car audio dept when they came out. Even their cheaper stuff was better than a lot of the Kenwood, Alpine, and other brands we sold. Them, Eclipse, and JL were the top brands we had. I remember running an Eclipse head unit (8v preout, no internal power) to the JL 1000.1 mono amp in our high end room. Wired up twelve JL 12W0 subs to it. That amp didn't even break a sweat, and the bass rattled your eyes out of your skull!

Are they owned by MTX now?
Those old school Xtant Amps were a beautiful work of art.
I been wondering if they were still around too. I think they were always associated with MTX somehow, forgot about that till you mentioned it! I was selling stereo stuff when Xtant came out. Remember hearing that when they back then, didn't really believe it at first. Prices weren't ridiculous but their stuff was good quality. Definitely good bang for your buck. Didn't cost much more than our entry level sub package (those blue Kenwood 12s) but sounded a LOT better and more durable.
