Brand New Sundown SA-12 with Separated Dustcap?

i'd double check with sundown before you glue anything even though it is a simple fix, if you glue it and it doesnt sound rite then it could void your warrently with sundown and then you would be SOL.

I know first hand how strong the adhesives are that Sundown uses, and I can assure you it'll be fine. The cap aint comin off! When I went to recone my old SA-12, the cone ripped well before the glue would even think about coming off. Worst case senario is you'll have a very minute air leak, which may or may not comprimise the forced air cooling. i doubt it'll have any major effect. If it was me, I would get some clear high strength epoxy, and just put enough to seal the cap to the cone in the spots with voids. I bet my left one you'll never have a problem!

That cap ain't gonna come off but what you will experience is air coming through it and it will more than likely create some form of audible noise (one of my DD 8's was like that, a tiny bit of glue fixed it)

Any clear high strength epoxy will work bud. Anything you find in auto zone or the like will be fine. Make sure the surface is clean from fingerprint oils, dust or other debris.
