Hey all so I have a problem. To start off I'm going to tell you the system set up:

-2011 Honda Accord Coupe Stock Head Unit

-AudioControl LC2i

-4ga OFC

-Brand new Hifonics BRX5016.5

-Crescendo CZ 6.5 components

-ID IDMAX 12" V4 D4

Ok so everything was installed and the amplifier went in to protect thermally. Things I've tried to correct:

-Redid ground even better than the good ground I had, overheat

-Tried turning down LC2i level and turning up gain on amp, overheat

-Turning up gain using AudioControl instructions and turning gains down on amp, overheat

-I installed a Stinger fan on one side to cool it down, overheat

-I checked all the impedance on the components, 4ohm, IDMAX, 2ohm. It checks out.

The amp is hooked up to the sub at 2 ohms, channels 1/2 & 3/4 are bridged to run the front components. Amp is on 5ch mode and hooked up exactly as it should, I even called Hifonics and asked. My voltage doesnt drop below 13.8v when its cranked. I also need to add Accubass for the sub to hit the lows or anything below ~35hz is practically non existent, I tried switching polarity it didnt do much. HELP

turn HU to 75%, play music, tun LC2i till clip light flashes (do this with 0 amp gain), move onto amp and turn up gain till music distorts.

if thats been done in that order, its a hifonics 5 channels what do you expect
