Brand names and "build houses"

Waaaay back in the mid 90's when I was still in the game, I remember DEI buying out Orion and some other nice names.

Now that I'm getting back into it, it seems there has been a lot more consolidation but I know very little about who does what. (I've seen "Zed" mentioned a few times)

I'm hoping some of you can bring me up to speed on the names that are still "good stuff" regarding speakers, subs and amps and who builds who's stuff.

Zenon builds most of the Korean amps. Some use better parts then others hence the higher price tag.

FI, SSA, DC, and DD are built in house. Some do get motors from chinese build houses. Sundown builds Nightshades in house.

No. They are a South Korean buildhouse. They don't own any of the companies, they just build and sometimes engineer the amps for them.
