alright so i have a adire audio Brahma but im not sure if its a mkII or mkIV because all the pictures i look at on the internet they both look the same. im pretty sure its a MKII because i run 1500rms on it and it takes it all day and i haerd with that kinda power the mkIV would blow. why i ask this question is because im lookin to get another one if i can find it and run them a .5 ohms.

Hard to say despite what others will tell you Adire didnt' actually do anything negative to the power handling as each gen changed. They simply rated the drivers more reasonably. The coil of a MKIV can actually handle more power than a MKII, I think the gap tolerance is tighter and the coil stayed the same or they found a way to somehow add heatsinking, I forget. However the brahmas rarely take 1600 watts to reach max output and are often mechanically damaged with that kind of power. So they changed the powerhandling to better reflect it's mechanical limits.

The brahma mkII has a 3" coil and the top and bottom plates are rounded. The mkIV has a 2.5" coil and the bop and bottom plates are squared off.
^^ This pretty much says it all... The MKII Brahmas were IMO the best all around woofers ever made. I used to run 1500w daily to each one and the SQ was awesome, plus they would get loud too. Wish i could get my hands on like 4 12" MKII Brahmas.

This is incorrect info. As woofercooker stated, MKII and MKIV have different sized coils.

And published power handling specs rarely reflect mechanical limits, as mechanical limits vary so greatly in relation to the enclosure size/type/alignment. Adire no doubt understood this.

so do you think i could find another one thats dual 2 ohm or should i just give up on the brahmas. but i love my single one so much cause it gets so loud in a truck box in my trunk lol.

They pop up on different websites and ebay every so often... Just put up a WTB ad on a couple website and maybe you'll get a response.
