brahma is now a paper weight

today i was listening to some cd today and all of a suden my sub cut out. I was like **** I gotta loose wire or somthing. I pulled all the wires and redid them and checked all the fuses. to no avail, I still couldnt get any sound out of em. I pulled the sub out of the box to check the wiring and still nothing. So i began inspecting the sub and notice that there is a bad scratchy sound when the cone is moved and there is gap next to the cone were some coil is showing and is unraveled.

So tommorow morning I have to try and get a hold of adire and talk to them. Hopefully it wont take to long to do and be too expensive. I was only running 600 rms to it with an unclipped signal, no bass boost no headunit tuning or "loud" setting or anything else. It wasnt like I was abusing it or anything, wich is wy its so puzzling as to why it went.

Anyone know the shipping and reconing cost and maybe how long it would take, or even who to get ahold of first.

Doesn't sound like it happened due to abuse. Might just have been an improperly annodized coil. I'd talk to Adire, it might be covered under warranty.

ive had the sub for 5 months and a friend has had it for 1 year so why would it happen all of a sudden
