Brahma Extreme

The tripple X I ****ed up on purpose... I put it in the BIGGEST BOX I could posible fit in my car... and the biggest port... and sent it about... 3500 rms... and tried to see if it would burp.... HOLY shit did it hit good.... did it sound good? NOPE!! did it like it? NOPE! but I had fun with it
And same with the Extreme... I got a shit load of amps from a local shop... and we put it to the test.... conencted it up to 4 2500 kicker sx's... 10k rms... and burped it for about... 8 mins till it was a BURNT moutha!

And the Solo X... well that is sorta my fault/owner

I was giving the solo x... in a box... and was told to go home and get the sub moving a GOOD deal... so the suspension would loosen the **** up....

I got home... put it on volume 10... and 32hz.... went upstairs for about 30 mins.. came back down... to here it sound LIKE SHIT!

I couldnt figure it out... well in the morning I went down there to look at it... the thing had a BIG *** crack in the cone that I didnt see the night before...

The box was tuned to 55 hz... and playing a 35 hz in a 55hz box...=total distrution on almost any sub....

I HAD NO IDEA it was tuned that high... and neither did the owner... he didnt build the box... Pat did (one of the workers)

Here is the post.

I just got my solo x 12 (Im sponsered by this local shop)And we called up kicker and talked to them about what size box and tuneing to use for my durango...

oddly enough... they said 2.5 cubes (after port) tuned to 48... and play a 53hz tone....

Anyways... we build the box... and this thing ****IN WANGED... sounded awesome....

The guy told me to be gentel with it and break it in...

I went home and put on the radio... on a LOW LOW volume... I come back about 30-60 mins later...

And the sub sounds like its sorta "flapping"... as if the cone of the sub is about to come of...

I know when I go to the shop in the morning they will fix it with no problem and explain to me what happened... but I was wondering if I could find out now...

Any ideas?

I thought you said your box was tuned to 48hz and that Kicker told you to burp at 53? Just a min ago you said it was tuned to 55... which is it now?
This I will answer.... WELL the owner told the builder to build it to 48... and was told to burp at 53 (BY KICKER...) but the builder ****ed up I guess and did it to 55.... and It was the loudest at 54....

Everything got mixed up at that point...

Day one... "Go home and play your sub so you can losen the suspension"

Day one night time.... I come down stairs to here the sub sounding liek shit....

Day 2..... "I forgot to tell you to play it... but not to play it lower then 50hz... thats my bad..."

Day 3.... "OH shit my builder ****ed up and got 2 different box plans mixed up and he built yours to 55 hz.... its alright we will set the ssf to keep the sub from playing anything below 55"

and since then we have been perfect...

I know that I am by no means an expert in SPL competition or building or designing. From your posts you have less of a clue then I do. I now see why it was posted earlier that all you have is mommy and daddy's money to blow...It must be nice.

and why would a shop sponsor you...

a.) your not even building your own stuff

b.) you stated you dont know how to hook it all up

c.) and you keep blowing everything up (yes, i remember you toasted those amps as well)

edit:the 1501 and the kickers btw

I didnt know that the radio played 32hz tones all the time...

And at first you say that kicker said 2.5 tuned to 48hz but then you later say you dont know it was tuned that high...

so much BS in this thread its hard to dig threw it all...

so this shop can strap un-strappable amps and can build a box that actually peaks below the tuning freq....are they based in the bermuda triangle?
