if you scroll down on this site there are a couple charts that tell you the size of the box you will need to get full excursion from each size brahma given how much power you are putting to the sub.......i was wondering if this was true? and if it is true then would this general theory of box size work for an sub?....also, if you get the full excursion then that means you are getting the full power from the sub, right?

thanks

That power chart was made by Adire, it is correct.

What you are seeing there is what Adire found to be the safe amount of power to achieve maximum linear excursion that is safe for the driver.

The idea of getting 'full power' from a sub, while it seems semi-solid, it's not so cut and dry. You can take drivers past the safe threshold and sometimes they survive it well - which in turn does offer you more than what you'd get from the linear level, but usually at a cost. To be safe, just assume that yeah, you are getting full potential from the driver.

The idea behind the smaller box size offering more 'power handling' is based on airspring. What you are doing is increasing the mechanical power handling of the driver, and yes it will work for all sealed drivers in general. Just remember that there is still thermal handling to deal with at the same time.
