yeah i side with him. downloading music and walking into best buy and pocketing it is the same thing. He's a business man of course he has that view. chances are it would cost more to produce an album than he would get back in profit.

and boycot kiss? are you serious. im sure they are all rich enough (especially gene) that it probably wouldnt matter if another person bought anything to do with kiss every again. im sure their kids, kids, kids are pretty well taken care of.

I and most people I know still buy CD's. Better quality, artwork, etc. I used to burn CD's and DL mp3's like a mofo but I can't remember the last time I did that, actually.

The fact is that the music industry needs to stop whining and grow up. Change with the times. Go online and sell mp3's (I know they're doing that now, but I'm really out of touch...)

And P. S., the artists makes more money from touring and merch than from CD sales. And the recording industry are a buch of **** thieves and pirates anyway. It's the same thing with the NMPA shutting down guitar tab sites. It's just douche bags in suits grubbing for money. Most bands of all forms of music out there today are just money grubbing *****s.

Also, I've been a musician since I was four years old.

So Gene Simmons, STFU. And KISS rocks sometimes, but in the grand scheme they were always a bit over rated along with Metallica and many others.

P. P. S. Another example of Gene's bullshittery is when he sued King Diamond (from Mercyful Fate) for copyright infringement because they both wore faggy makeup.

I don't think that is the issue....I see it is KISS not wanting to adopt the latest mechanism for music distribution. It would be the same as another band complaining about the adoption of the compact disc over cassette, or cassette over eight-track.
