Bowling is NOT a Sport.

sport is considered competition against others. If you bowl in a league, tournament or other sanctioned body you are competing. Therefore bowling IS in fact a SPORT !!
Now if you go bowling once in a while with your buddies and just drink and raise hell and piss off the owner of the bowling alley. I would consider that kind NOT to be a sport.

I guess it would just depend on the situation. I personally gave up on that stupid game.

I think norm duke has made over 25 million in his 20= year bowling career...not bad, but it pales in comparisons to tiger woods 100+ million in a 10 year stretch.

no norm has not made that much in his 20 year career, nobody has even passed the 5 million mark...yet, walter ray williams jr is almost passed the 5 million mark in his career, i think norm is just either under or over 4 million, i think bowing is a sport, not only because i compete, not just leagues but tournaments as well, but it isn't easy at all to throw the same shot, hit the same mark over and over again.
