bowled a 299

same here kind of. my medium oil ball is a 14lb brunswick power groove, which is only a mid level ball, but it's so consitant i bowl really well with it. but if i the carry down becomes a problem and i start coming in shallow it gets ugly sometimes when i come in too shallow or too high. my 16lb ebonite big time just makes pins explode even on a bad ball. but my big time has a lot more of an angular(sp?) shape, so it seems like this could be where some of the power comes from.

it does seem like my 16 gets a lot more pin action on a bad ball than my 14 on a bad ball though.
if i am thrown my 16 and drop to my 15 i have a hard time adjustin my speed. its really is pretty crazy how much of a diff a lb really makes.

indeed. it took me awhile to get used to using a 15. i prefer it now. I have a little more control on the ball, and do more games if need be without my sholder hurting. due to a bum knee (the same one i slide with) i don't bowl to much anymore. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

yea it does but i can make the change from 15 to 16. or 15 to 14 without a problem. but once you get to 2 pounds its weird.

my spare ball is a 14 and my strike balls are 15. 14 due to getting more speed on it.

yeah i used the 15lb mainly on 10 pins and really dry conditions. my shoulders and knees hold out but after about 5 games my left hip and right wrist are just about shot
