I found a wrecked Volvo that has the premium sound system made by Bowers & Wilkins and I want to get the speakers. Does anyone have an idea of where the amp is mounted? Thanks

You should be able to Google that up for year and model of the vehicle on a repair manual.

A lot of the Volvos have Dyn Audio setups. Those are worth going after as Dyn Audio is quality stuff. People pay good money for those speakers on DIYMA when people find them in the salvage yards.

Haven't heard of those. I'll keep an eye out. The B&W's we're a $3,000 option. And even used on Ebay I've seen the speakers and amp go for $2,000 used. It's quite a find!

Trust me if I had a salvage yard around here that allowed people to go in and take parts like the old days I would be going & looking for some of those Dyn Audio speakers. The amps people don't bother with. Dyn Audio speakers though are crisp, loud and clear. Same ones they sell publicly that can go for hundreds of dollars NIB.

Any idea how to identify which cars had the Dyn speakers(without tearing out the interior)?

Swore they had a badge on the speaker grills. Either way most salvage yards end up being picked of them as people flock to those speakers like crazy. So when you find them get them because if you don't usually within a couple days they will be gone anyways.

Good advice. I've missed out on a lot of parts while I was waiting for a sale.
