Bought a new SUV

Ah, what about using the high current ignition source in the fuse box under the hood. Would this work, splitting it 5 times, or is it not high current enough? In my Grand Prix I was using this source as the remote for my battery isloator and using the h/u remote for 3 amps. I know this is a no no but I'm still learning just like everyone else I guess. What do you think is the best thing to do?

If your deck is like my kenwood, it is also nice because it controls when the amps are on. It turns them off if you switch to standby, mute it, etc. Just gives a bit more control.

Thanks for pointing out the fact that MY car is not brand new sir. I do realize it is a 2004. Which came out in October of 2003. That makes it 3 years and one month. Brand new in 2004 it cost 30000 for this LT 4x4 model. I paid 15000 with 38000 miles.
edit* had typed something but had eugenics vehicle confused with someone elses.
haha, what did you think i drove?

Kenwood decks do not turn the amps off when you engage the mute - it simply cuts the output signal to them. Consequently there is nothing for them to amplify and they go quiet. And unless you're talking about the cellphone mute function engaging the attenuator circuit doesn't cut the output to silence but rather lowers it dramatically.

As far as the rest is concerned? That's not something Kenwood has a monopoly on by any means. ALL HUs that have a remote accessory activation circuit that is attached to an amp or amps will turn those amps off when the unit is put into Standby mode. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Ok, I just threw a bunch of numbers together and came up with what I think is a very accurate price. Since I already have the amps they are not included in this. For everything; BTLs, batteries, wiring, ring terminals, battery terminals, h/u, front stage amps, CDT comps, MDF, suede for box, and everything else all the way down to the can of black spray paint for the inside of the port will cost $4596.75. The amps are 1400 so that is a grand total $5996.75. It's a little more than I originally figured but hey, the more the merrier (spelling) right?
