bottoming out

Bottoming out... hmm... if you go look at your subs while it's playing, you will see dimples on the sub and you will hear floppy flop flop noises //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oh ok, its not bottomin out. But when like the lower bass hits, it sounds hollow like theres no bass
I've heard a hollow sound when I didn't have enough juice to power the amp feeding my subs. Maybe check your voltage across the battery when the hollow bass hits. When it happened to me my voltage was at ~11 or so which is definitely not good.

I'm honestly not sure what happens if an amp doesn't get the amperage it needs other than lowering voltage. I know it can out and out break an amp without protection [or other things], but if it doesn't fry it, does it just clip the signal or something?
