From what I hear there isn't anything wrong with them, but they're not awesome either. Boston's G5's are supposed to be flippin sweet, and you got to expect some type of trickle down for the G2's. They should be fine, but there might be something better for the money (there always is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif). I would get some, and am thinking of getting a pair of their G1's purely for space reasons.
- as anyone will tell you subwoofers are install dependant, meaning if you take the time to put them in the right box, and give it enough power, you can make almost any sub sound good.
- if any of this makes you leary, might want to look into the Phoenix Gold RSD series of subs. They are getting rave reviews for their power handling, output, and SQ (all the makings for a great sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif). They also are optimized for smaller boxes if space is an issue, and are in the same price range as the G2's.
