I've been given a Boston G21244 dual 4 ohm voice coil sub that configures in either 2 ohms or 8 ohms. I have a Kenwood stereo amp that can be bridged to produce 300 watts mono at 4 ohms but is not 2 ohms stable that I use for a sub amp. Can I use this speaker with this amp? If I'm thinking correctly, this speaker will operate at 2 ohms when hooked up to this amp. Should I exchange it for the G2124 single voice coil 4 ohm unit? Should I get another G21244 and run a two speaker configuration even though I really don't want to run two subs? I'm kind of a noob and I would appreciate any advice I can get.
Thanks, Sam
