Right now i have one Boston G5 12" in my acura TL front firing trough the armrest into the cabin and i have one extra G5 12" in my closet. The one in the trunk is feed by the alpine pdx 600.1. Now im just thinking to uprgrade to one SPG from boston which would be a perfect fit firing trough that armrest. Now my question is if i do get a dual voice coil... can i buy another pdx 600.1 and feed ieach coil around 500 watts or do i need a single amp....

It is possible to run 1 amp per coil, although it is extremely difficult to perfectly match the settings on the two amps without the assistance of an o-scope. If you like the PDX then why not just sell the one you have and get a PDX-1000?
