im thinking about buying boston acoustics pro series 6.5"

however i have been looking at there Z-reference 6 inch components

has anyone heard anything about either of these

are the z reference worth twice the money?

this is my dads truck

hes got an alipine 7998 hu

and hes got a mtx 6304 ( 135 x 4)

but i think hes looking at the jl audio amp

not sure

just wondering if the z's are worth twice the money of the pros

in my opinion, no not twice as much unless you really want to power the shit out of them and want extremely loud treble, full range treble ( as opposed to not so full range with the pros) The JL 300/4 is a good mids and high amp if that was what you were referring to. I dont know much about MTX so i won't say. At any rate it sounds like a awesome setup and both pairs of boston speaks are excellent ... just go listen and see what you like....
