Hey all,

I have a Alpine PDX.1-600 RMS class D amp. Would this be to much power for either 2 Boston Acoustics G110 subs or 1 Boston Acoustics G112 sub? Both are rated at 200 watt rms each

Also if a sub is say dual 4 ohm does that mean for this particular amp that 300 watts rms go to each voice coil?

If you want to stay with BA, I'd go with two of these and call it a day... http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=520&i=065G2104&tp=111
I would love to go with those, but I only have 5.25" mountng depth. They are to go behind my back seats in my 08 F350 crew cab

Anyone have any other suggestions on on good shallow subs? I was thinking of the following as well. Which one is best out of these 3?

Kicker - 07CVT124

Rockford - P3SD412

Kenwood - KFC-XW1200F

I personally have heard the kicker's and I was surprised at how well they sounded. I actually did an install on the same truck but it was a F250. The guy had bought a prefab box for behind the seat and me and a buddy of mine ran the wire, etc...

Edit: He ran 10's though

Get the BA's. You'll wire them down to a 1ohm load and feed your subs 300rms.

Type in on yahoo Subwoofer Wiring diagrams, click the first link, and then click on the one that says 2 Dual 4 ohm loads. It'll show you how to wire it.

The PDX amp only shows 2 ohm and 4 ohm. Both are at 600 watts RMS

IF I get 2 10" BA's does each sub get 300 rms or do they both get the 600 rms?

Each sub will get 300 rms... You will need either 2 SVC 4 ohm subs or 2 DVC 2 ohm subs to get to 2 ohms for 600 watts.

I've got a CVT12 in my 4Runner and a G1 10(single 4 ohm) in my PU and the Boston is way better for clean punchy bass. The Kicker gets lower but sounds sloppy/lose.

They are totally different but both sound good.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
