I had 2 dell dj's both 15gigs, first had an HD failure in a first year and second one is starting to have problems as well. Freezes all the time and skips from song to song. And thats dell. From my understanding cheap hard drive mp3 players will work for couple of monthes and then fail. In general hard drive mp3 technology is not perfect as of now, takes too much to power them and constant movement does not help. On the other hand flash memory players are much more reliable. I swere to god u cannot go wrong with any of them even the cheapest ones, but they have small memory capacity up to 4gig and thats it.

i bought a 20gig hdd mp3 player off of ebay like a year and a half ago and its still going strong, i got it for a good price and it works fine. i agree a flash drive is prob. a lil more sturdy but wtf 4gigs?! i needed more space then that!

Yeah, my 20g hd iPod is starting to go down the crapper. I highly suggest a more expensive flash drive mp3 player as well.
