just fore curiosity sake how many and what size fuses does this beast use? i am looking for 6k but this may be a bit much. is 2 ohms ok on this amp?

This amp is capable of 7200w on 12.5v and a lot more with even more voltage but most people don't have the big enough electrical to support this amp to it's full potential. Realistic power with 350 amp alternator and 3-4 good batteries is about 5000-6000w after impedance rise form one ohms.

But to give you an idea at 2ohms I compared 7k2d to my 4k2d and it was a solid 1db gain over the 4k2d 2ohms for 2ohms. I didn't power test the 7k2d at 2ohms but the 4k2d tested 2900w at 11.8v and the 7k2d was 1db louder with same voltage drop. I didn't even have close to enough alternator with just two stinger 1700's and only a 180 amp alternator. So you see where the potential is on the 7k2d.

i have always wanted to mess with one of these amps,to bad no trades i have a one of a kind bnib DD Z9515 full kevlar cone and 8"carbon cap. was asking 1300.00 plus shipping.
