I have a brand new in box DLS Ultimate A5 amplifier for sale. It is brand new, it has never seen any surface beyond carpet (it was only out of the box for ~10 minutes). These are DLS's flagship line of amplifiers, using only pure AB technology. The DLS Ultimate "A" amps are some of the best in the business, comparable to Zapco C2k and Arc XXK lines. It is truly a beautiful amplifier, none of the pics do it justice.

I have decided on going active, and I need a 4 channel amp as opposed to this 3 channel amp.

It is rated for

2 x 85 @ 4ohm + 780 x 1 @ 1.33ohms (it is 1ohm stable)

(although I hear it is highly underrated, and have heard claims that 1000 watts on the mono channel is common)

I have a bunch of other pics, but I just reformatted my computer and I havent loaded Corel Draw 8 (compress pictures) and Imageshack wont upload/compress any files that are larger than 1024

Im quoting FoxPro5's review of the DLS A5

I have the A5. It is one of the best amps I've owned bar none. Plenty of power and they are absolutely gorgeous too ...it's a shame it's under my seat right now. When I first got it, I just sat and admired her for a while...

Here is a German test report on it from their website: http://www.dlsamerica.com/Test%20rep...5autohifi2.jpg

The dealer I bought mine from said that the sub channel will throw down 1K at 1 ohm if it gets the voltage. I have run it at 1 ohm recently and it **** near murdered my sub. I'm a pretty strict sq guy and will be running it a 2 ohms where it still performs like a champ

You can expect to get rated power out of it and then some. I will be using the fronts to power my tweets. I have the fronts on my midrange drivers (4 ohm) and they sound great.

Very nice price/performance ratio on the A5...especially since you get a two channel plus a pretty powerful sub channel in a moderately sized footprint!!

Bwahahahahha that guy is an idiot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Oh wait, I said that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I swiched the A5 from tweet to midbass duty today and it was definately a switch for the better. Seems like the A5 added a little more pop to the mids and having my Zapco now on the tweets is just crazy - the highs have absolutely come alive like never before.

In summary, buy this amp! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
