i agree w/ u man......there are many breeds out there that get a bad rep due to a few people being irresponsible w/ them.......i'm an avid pitbull lover well actually i like the smaller cousin the Staffordshire Bull Terrier......raised many diff breeds of dogs while i was fostering dogs for a rescue group.....and dogs are trainable.....its all about how they are raised and occasionally you do run into one that is overly agressive or something like that due to poor breeding......but if anyone has ever done any research on the breed they would know that pits were originally used to fight bulls and other animals in the ring.....but they were not bred to be agressive towards people.....one of the most people agressive dogs are one no one really pays that much attention to cause they are "cute" but dalmations are one of the ones i'd be more afraid of.....that is if my information is correct......i know it was about 6 or 7 yrs ago.......

bull shit, a poodles not more "people" aggresive than a pitbull.

do some homework. They are still more people aggressive than a pit.

The Dalmation, cockerspaniel, and the house cat are all higher on the list of animal bites seeking medical attention every year.

Why do you think so many people who have never had interaction with a pit are so afraid of them? Because of stories they've heard and PICTURES LIKE BLUNTMANS AVATAR!!! It just reafirms thier belief when they see a picture of a "vicious pit". I hope he doesn't fight them, more than likely he doesn't even own one. When a young kid see's a picture like that they think "it must be cool to own mean pits", then the cycle starts over. Whining? f ucking right I'm whining, and I will continue as long as there is breed specific legislation, and thousands of people that think its cool to fight pits.

I have 3 cats and never in my life have they ever bit me hard enough to make it hurt...pits are vicious dogs and they didnt get that persona from just a picture.

don't you have some cartoons to watch?
Good comeback //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Its sad you so called grown ups have to resort to childish demeanors because you cant think of anything intelligent to come up with.

I have never been bitten by a pitbull. I have been bitten by my grandmothers cat, that did bleed. Big deal. I'm not talking about your stories or mine. I am talking about the breed standard. I owned cocker spaniels growing up. I never got bitten by one of them either. Thier still higher on the list though.

For everyone taking this thread out of context, if you don't like pitbulls thats your choice. Everyone is entitled. I AM TALKING ABOUT IRRESPONSIBLE PITBULL OWNERS ONLY. If they hadn't been over breed in this country for the soul purpose of dog fights, there wouldn't be any problem.

of course dalmations cockerspaniels and housecats are higher on the list. think about how many more people have them? besides most people that are around pitbulls exercise caution

I have owned several breeds of dogs. From my first dog Kelly(1/2 pit 1/2 shepard)

most loving dog ever. Only time she bite someone, was when one of my moms friends tried to give me birthday spankings. And then she did not break the skin. I have also owned a shitzu-pug mix. By far the most aggressive dog I have owned. Granted she is smaller than my cat. Plan and simple any breed of dog can be trained to be aggressive, Pits are more popular, because of their size and strength. And I think that anyone who trains dogs to attack, should be tied up, and let his/her dogs have at it.
