Blue/white for amp turn on

For years I have always used the blue wire (antenna) for the amp turn from the head unit. If you do this now the amp won't turn on when listening to a CD. Now you have to use the blue/white lead.

That's always been the case since a universal color code was implemented. The exceptions are that some head units have only a blue wire, and others have only a blue/white; in cases where both are present, the blue/white is the amp remote wire.

 
the blue wire is only for the power antenna, it only has power when you use your tuner and turns off then using the cd player, aux, etc....

the blue with white line wire is the remote turn on for the amps. it always has power

some low end decks have only one wire one blue wire.
