i have a 300A alt i jus ordered from Iraggi ( i know i know). meant to drop right in place of my stock one right now, but the thing is, this iraggi alt has a bolt sticking out of it and im wondering if thats where the hot wires runs to the battery, am i correct? also there is only a blue and a white wire sticking out of the plug ion the iraggi alt, but in my stock one in my vehicle theres like four diff colored wires, can someone please help me match up or tell me what they do please, im trying to install this today with my dad. thanks for the help. pics are coming for help. also vehicle is a 1990 dodge grand caravan 3.3 Liter.

also, in his paperwork it says something about upgrading ground wire from alt also. exact words here- The upgraded ground will go from the back side of the alternator housing (case) to the frame of the vehicle. Do not put this ground from the alternator to the body or engine block. Be sure it is on the FRAME of the vehicle. If your new iraggi alternator does not have a threaded hole on the back of the housing to connect the upgraded ground wire ring terminal to, use the mounting ear bolt that is closest to the back of the alternator housing. Then using this same wire size, upgrade the ground from your battery to the same location on the frame.

Not sure, as I haven't messed with many alts, But I would think that the bolt sticking out the back would be a ground, it would be dangerous for it to be a positive with no cover/cap on top of it.

None the less, Go ahead and hook the ground up, and the pos run to the batt.

Trace the wires back (from the stock alt) and see what leads to what

aftr lookin at the alt after further inspection thus far, it says attach hot wire to alternator charging post, which i wud guess is that threaded rod. there is a plastic spacer in between that and where the terminal will rest as u can see in the pic.

could maybe you explain just a little more clear, not to be mean, but im not that mechanically inclined. so that bolt you have in that first picture you posted, is that the ground or thebattery power?
