Bl's or BTL's?

Is there really any difference in a 18" BL and a 18" BTL?

Im looking to buy 2 18" BL's for my hummer, would they sound good in it? And what amp should i get to push them, also ported or sealed box (im pretty sure ported)

Mostly power handling. 1500 on each sub will be fine for the BL. The BTL, well 2000 RMS and a motor capable of plenty more so you know....lol Depends on what you want to do.

I just want these subs for just everyday driving, i doubt ill get into any competition, but i want my system to be well known in my area. But overall is the BL a good sounding sub, if i push them with 1500 on each. Or would an 18 be way to big for this?

I had a single BTL before the 2 new ones I'm getting. It was pretty solid up into the 80hz range. I was surprised. It sounded good with proper attenuation.

If I were you I would get the BL's and a 3000.1 and go from there.

that amp is junk, if you're going to dump money into decent woofers, don't skimp on power for them.

If you want more than 2k watts you need an extra battery and a single run of 0 guage wire at the least.
