uh yea, popping definitely is not necessarily a sure indication of a blown sub. theyre probably just bottoming out because they're exceding there xmax because theyre in a leaky box.

You said you had 750RMS watts going to your CVR 12"s.. Since RMS on CVR 12"s are 400, and the MAXIMUM wattage is 800, I think your umbers are way off. Thats 50 watts less than MAX. Better know your subs before pushing them "too hard". If you had a adaquate amp to push them and pushed 750 for awhile, I would imagine that they would have a blown voice coil, depending of ohm level/ box.

u do have a very good point, but i was dumb enough to realize that they were running at 1 ohm a week later. When i first got them hooked up to my new amp they pounded really loud and didnt sound to bad, but after running them at 750 wattsrms each for a week, they sound like total garbage now so i took them out, i def think i blew a voice coil in them, but then again who cares when i am replacin them with my xxx12 once my box is finished
