Blown??

the hissing noise as stated previously is the air coming through the pole vent trying to get back out of the cap. either the cone may have a pinhole in it somewhere or the cap isnt sealed correctly! This is what CA glue is for!

haha no i dont think he sealed the dustcap correctly, he used the 3m adhesive that he used to put the carpet on his box, and yes there are probably little holes around the dustcap cause it probably isnt sealed good

if you smelled the sub then you are obviously pushing the sub too hard. Turn the gain down, fix the dustcap. 1200w clean is louder than 1500w dirty!!!!!

i know they do. People cant seem to get that through there head though. i think sub companies should make it mandatory that you buy and o-scope when you buy there sub. but then you will have people that dont know how to use an o-scope and still fry there shit!

sounds like a plan, well homedepot closes in a little bit, unless they sell some 2 part epoxy?? at like walmart, what exactly am i loooking for? 3M?elmers? hah other than that ill let him know that he needs to just come by my house tommorow and ill see if i can glue that shit back on if not then he just needs to call RE and see if they can do anything right?
