blown sub?

How do you know if you've blown a sub? I Don't know why but my w6 had just recently shutdown. No sound would come from it and the volume on my headunit was less then 10. What could be the problem? Help please

test the coils with a DMM...push down on the cone, if you feel scratching....its most likely no good..but make sure you push the center of it....not just one end. check the wiring...etc.

First check your connections with your amp, then make sure your amp is working it should have a green light if it is on and a red if it is in protection mode. What amp is it? One way to check the sub is to put a DMM on the coils and measure the ohm ratings.

it's a pg tantrum 500.2 amp. And the amp is flashing blue so it works.
