Blown Sub Questions

I have two blown subs collecting dust at my house. The first is a AA Assassin 12 that stop working for some reason, ( I had 4 at one time, sold the rest) and I talk to Scott at FI and I know I can get a recone for this sub. Was thing of going with the recommend box for HT and using it in my room.

My other sub is a JL 12w6v2 that I bought on ebay a couple of years ago. VC fired on me a few days after I bought it, (had a recone but someone didnt do it right)

Im pretty set on keeping and fixing the Assassin, but the JL is another issue.

My main questions is what to do with the JL? Can I get it reconed by anyone else besides JL Audio? I would sell it for cheap, but I figured nobody would want it because of the high price of a JL recone, and shipping would be high because of the weight.

Just dont know what to do, and Im so tempted to just throw it away, but I wanted some opinions from people, what do yall think I should do with it?

I saw somewhere that FI did recones for 100-120 or some such thing.

Might want to shoot an email off to them.

I talked to Scott about a recone for both subs. The assassin would not be a problem, but I would have to send the JL in to look at because he has never done a recone on one. Just wondering if it worth the effort. If I got it working, it would go into the work car anyway, just want a lil something in there.
