hey guys i got this off a friend. It is a Kicker Kx1200.1 he said believe it's a 2000 or 2001 model. This amp is blown though i was going to fix it myself but i just don't have the cash. It powers up but then cut's right out i looked at the board nothing look's fried or melted but im not the best at repairing amps. right now i don't have pics cause im at my gf's house. As soon as i were to get home i would take pics of w/e you guys would like. cosmetically only thing wrong with amp there is a small type scrape across top piece that covers the internal's of the amp. Im looking for $240obo i will also entertain trades. Im really looking for a front-stage amp bad so i can start my build. lmk guys i will have pics up tonight.

Well guy's here an update figure id bring this to my electronics class in college. but none of my teacher's even wanted to go near it except one which was nice the tool crib guy. i got the board out took out all screws etc...i have all the part's didn't lose nothing. but i now know i can't fix it guys i tried. the only things i did notice that the cap near rca's looks a little melted but i do not have a cap checker to be able to check it. the screw also to the chasis ground to the amp is broke so noticed the ground wasn't on there tried both but got same thing. Power's on then right off. so guy's my journey has ended with this amp. i tried at least i know that. Will sell since i took it all apart but still have all pieces. $80shipped and it's yours.

don't post dump buddy. here's new info on amp guys.

well guys i think i actually might of found out what the problem was. i did some more testing i took the whole board out of the actual amp casing. I went and powered her up again but noticed this time that the actual power does not just fade out. its goes power up then to protect power up then to protect etc.... etc....but i noticed that the relay on the actual board is clicking each time. so i was thinkn just replace the relay anyone know where i can find that type of relay and also how do i get the old one out do i just melt the solder's on the back of the board itself so i can replace the amp.thanks for help guys.
