ok, so about a month ago i noticed my passenger front speaker was cracking, so i thought i'd managed to blow it, replaced the speaker with a new set, and the same thing. so i thought perhaps a wire had a bare spot and was rubbing metal somewhere. turns out, my girl left a coke in my glove box, and it had exploded. i cleaned the whole thing but i noticed a few small dropletts of soda on the side of the headunit. i believe that this is the cause of the speaker poping, and so do a few others that i've asked about this. so i'm guessing i've blown a channel. so i'm wondering if i tried to go through an external amplifier if that channel would still be blown? just trying to find a way to save a little money. any thoughts?
