blown amplifier

I hooked up 3 12s to my 1400.1 brx the other day. they were wired correctly but my amp sparked up and started smoking. I ruled out that I pprobably caused that with speaker wires touching. I cracked her open today but I don't know what's wrong. smells like something burnt but it looks good. I can't seem to upload pics it keeps saying there's an error and upload failed. but could you tell me what I should be looking for?

That wasn't directed at you but if you want to keep that amp you should probably take it to a pro

sounds like you could have tried to run the amp at .5 ohm ....but you didn't tell us what 3 subs you are trying to run mono...

had 3 600 watt d4 subs at a 2.67 ohm load. amp is 1 ohm stable. I took amp apart, fried 8 transistors. now wondering for a reliable source to buy replacements from?

ok, so you went the 8,4,2 ohm route, amp shouldn't even be breathin hard yet ........Hmm ....

Digi-Key, Mouser ....for pieces parts. I really don't trust ebay ....
