2 days ago i found out my directed 2400 had completely blown. No clue how it happened. It was fine when i shut my car off, the next day i turned it on and nothing. I took it to a shop, they metered it, all the power is going to it, but the amp wont turn on or take any of the power. What happened?

So now its time for a new amp! This will power my 15" type r Dual 2. I want atleast 1000w rms @ 1 ohm. However, i do not want to spend more than $300max. I am strongly considering a Hifonics BXi 1606D. Any opinions on this amp? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6336_Hifonics+BXi+1606D.html. will i have any problems with sonic, are the reputable?

--edit-- I will be running at 1 ohm. ^^1 ohm stable correct?

Thanks and any input you guys have on the BXi, or any other amp i could consider would be great.
