guys i got a problem with blowing fuses.i'm running two ppi a600 art series both of them have the 60amp fuses that they came with.i'm running a 4 gauge power wire with a 60amp inline fuse at the battery and at the back i got that ditribution block both with 60amp fuses.one of the ppi's is bridged and the other i'm running in stereo.whenever i crank it up really loud the one 60amp fuse constantly blows at the battery.i don't know if it's safe or not to put in a higher amp fuse cause i don't want to take a risk of a fire happening.any advice out there i'd really appreciate it. thanks

You can safely use a fuse higher than 60 amps with 4ga wire. If you have an AGU type fuse holder, though, you might have to upgrade it, since AGU fuses are hard to find above 80 amps.

you don't need a 120amp fuse up front.....i've got 2 amps runnin high with a 80 amp fuse and it's perfectly fine....You will need to go with atleast an 80....I would go with a 100amp though. It should be fine after that.

once you go to an ANL fuseholder, you can go as high as you want, and they make them as low as 60 amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

While this may work fine for you his amps are capable of drawing 120A total, so a 80A, or 100A fuse could blow prematurely.

depends on the class of amps, mostly...

your two amps could be a whole lot more efficient than his two amps...

bottom line - just get an ANL fuseholder, start with around 100-120A and find what works.

I had to do the same thing. The 60 AGU worked for all of 5 seconds. I forgot about that wussy fuse I had up front and was worried I had a bad ground. I've got a 100a ANL is now and will see how that goes. I don't like putting in too big of a fuse because I want that to blow before anything else...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
