be to be honest, ive seen better work in prison than most I see on the streets...the ink looks like shit and eventually turns green cuz its made out of burnt chess pieces and shit, and the lines usually **** because it is single needle and the needle is a heated up spring form a Bic clicker pen, but just the art itself....better than id say about 90% of the artists in street shops

I don't like any of those. Simply because it's not my style in any way. But I can definitely respect the art and the work it took. I don't know much or follow tattoo news but I can appreciate good work in any form.

Not overall work quality, but simply the art itself. the design, the detail, shading etc....cuz I dont care who your artist is, he doesnt have as much time as someone in prison to practice his craft. they got dudes doin life that been down 25 years, and thats all their existence is, is slingin ink 14 hours a day for money, and cuz there aint shit else to do but practice.

Is that stuff on your legs great art? absolutely. Would I want it? **** no. I dont like colors like that and I dont like that particular design. That doesnt mean that the work quality isnt great, because it definately looks better than average shop work, that patterned out bullshit

guess what buddy... i've been to prison. twice to be exact. no... they dont have 14 hours a day to tattoo. guards constantly bust up what's going on when they do rounds. at best, they might have 4 or 5 hours a day to work and it constantly gets interupted.

also, my artist works 7 days a week. sometimes 12-16 hour days. they have better materials, tools, and reference art to work with. prison ink is nowhere near as good. also, most artist from prison dont come working in a shop... totally different ball game
