Anyone else listen to these and find them relaxing

Right now im listening to the ocean of wellbeing by softspace, kind of weird but i do feel much more relaxed when i listen to it. Another favorite is Binural beats- digital drug.

yep. you can use them for alot of things. they can help induce paranoid delusions which can support lucid dreams, among other things. peope use them to reach a higher state of consciousness to interact with aliens (binaural beats with pink noise).

B-Beats are interesting. They affect alpha, gamma, and theta waves in your brain.

i dunno it may have been the allergy meds or the falling asleep at 4am, but i had some crazy dreams last night after listening to the lucid dreaming program and it was weird like i was sleeping but not but was having a dream about a date I was on the other week.

There's an audio drama version of Stephen King's THE MIST that's a binaural recording. It ain't bad.
Monsters Inc is recorded using binaural technology. I bet a horror movie would be sweet, hear all kinds of shit all over the place.

I have a project at work pending where i'll be building two mic preamps and the associated circuitry for binaural recordings in a 1/5 scale mannequin. it should be interesting. we're doing it to characterize the acoustics in scale environments. then i'll have to develop the code to interpret the data into something useful...

Electrical Engineering degree with an emphasis in analog and digital circuit design. I worked as an EE for an engineering consultant firm designing electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, etc.) for large commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, etc. Then I had the opportunity to transfer to the new Acoustics department where I work as an Acoustics Engineer. We mostly provide consulting to architects and engineers for the same types of large commercial projects, but I also develop software for acoustical analysis and play with some neat equipment taking field recordings and developing simulations. My other acoustics co-workers are a Mechanical Engineer, an Aeronautics Engineer, and a Recording Engineer/Technology Designer. We all bring something unique to the table - it's a great work environment.

i love my job.

You can get a specific Architectural Engineering degree with an emphasis on Acoustics from a couple colleges in the U.S. You can also get specific degrees in Acoustics - the fields are varied. To learn more about Acoustics as a profession, visit The Acoustical Society of America
