Thanks man. 4/6 is still sick! i cant wate to get my system going but i want to do things in the order they should be done in if i built a system i would have to rip it out once i boyd droped the truck. I got a lot of cutting to do to my truck maybe it will give you the courage to do your when you see mine. as far as boy mods. im thinking of extending my step side bed about a foot or so. shave everything up get a roll pan. remold the front end so i can push the hedlights and the face of the truck back so that i can do a phantom grill. and possibly a f150 front bumper. paint right now i have seen this new paint its "Almost chrome" Paint looks just like chrome reflective and all so i was thinking the bottom portion of my truck chrome and then the top part black. but more of a flat black not all glossy sort of like black primer but paint. i also want to take and ******* my front doors which will be a feat as my rear doors ******* and the front open normally so the whole cab is open up. and then i want to delete any pillars inbetween the windows and make the side all window and the front and back roll down! and also add a rag top!Nice truck man, Ive got an 04 single cab on some 20's. Soon to be 22's and hopefully a nice 4/6 drop (all I can afford being a college student). Definatly subscribed to this thread, also want to see how you do that blow through, Ive been contemplating doing one on my truck, but I just cant get the guts to cut a huge *** hole in my truck. any paint and body plans??
You bet. the engine will probably be my last upgrade. that way i can get everything situated under the hood for my drop then i can see what i have to work with. but im thinking twin turbo. corsa exhaust. a set of comp cams and other stuff. ill have to do more reasearch though about the 5.3L 323 and what can be done with it. Im also thinking of putting it on a c5 corvette suspension. Indy rear suspension=teh h0tness! and i know the NBS concept silverado was on a c5 suspension.
most of it will be done by myself with the help of my club. and i have friends who can get me phat discounts on all sorts of parts. Im getting my bag setup for $500 I might have to have someone else paint it. we have a painter in the club but i dont know if he has dealt with the new chrome paint. it is a process to get it chrome dosnt just come chome. so hopefully i can keep the cost to a minimum by doing the work myself. plus i love working on my truck and knowing that i made my truck. I dont want to be one of the people on the cover of a magazine who paid someone to build their truck for them. Thats not for me.Dude that is some serious cash. Cant wait to see it
4.6??? you mean 4.3 v6?maldecido, Ive been looking for a nice intake for my truck, Ive got the 4.6 too, do you know of any good ones???
