The end of this semester they couldn't buy back ANY of my books.

lets just say it sucks to walk in with 600 dollars worth of books only to be offered 50.

Well... the thing about my school is that they let the professors be creative, which equals a lot of "one off" classes that they never do again...
plus you have to do a lot of reading for most of these classes, so lots of books + 1 time classes = very little money back.

The worst thing is the way they print a new edition every semester.

The bookstore prices could be avoided by shopping on Ebay or Amazon, but I guess they recognize that profit loss and change a few things to make it necessary to get the new one.

But, college is just a business and we're the customers. No different than the way professors consider teaching to be making a powerpoint presentation and showing it to every class semester after semester.

I'm a litle offended with the "down the road" "across the street". Not extremely offended just makes me think of my freinds mom who slit her wrists. Not somthing I like to joke about.

i keep almost all of my books. the technical ones for sure and sometimes the gen ed ones just because i can loan them to friends or i *might* use them later in life (i think i just lied to myself).
