A friend of mine gave me $500 to do a subwoofer setup in his standard cab dodge and get him an aftermarket hu. So far I have built the box, and bought him 2 alpine type r 10s (swr-10d4). They are 1000rms each. And gotten the hu, which leaves $250 left. I still have to get the amp and wire and I would like to make a least a little for my labor so that brings the $100 budget. I guess I could do a little more for a really good deal but not much. Please post model numbers and prices shipped to 71104.

Yep that's all he had. He is 17 and still in highschool.

Yeah the bug has already bitten him. He bought the truck and it had a 12" Sony Xploder in it on a dual 400 watt max amp. That's what got him started. So I'm sure these 2 type r's even on a little bit of power will be a big upgrade

Still looking for a reliable amp. He may end up with an audiopipe if nobody here comes to his rescue

Those Punch amps that @gumby688 ; put up will hit those 10''s pretty hard.

I have a old punch 250a2 i guess he could use as a last resort but I was lookin for more power

Yeah at that price it may be kinda hard.Unless its Shark or Audiopipe.I'd go with an os Punch before that.Good luck.

Thanks. It's just hard to justify it to him. Since the amp will be temporary he isn't too worried about reliability. He sees the audiopipe apsm1500 for $100 or my punch 250. He wants the big numbers

The punch will do nearly as much power...

But for $100, check ebay. If you look around enough you can find something nice. I got a JBL GTO 1200 amp for $100 about a month ago. BRZs pop up for around $100-120 every once and a while on the forums, too.

Yeah I have been watching eBay and local. I scored a Powerbass xta2250 a couple weeks ago for $150. I wish I could find another one, That would be perfect for him
