Putting together a new system for next year and I came up with this bright idea to run a 15" Shocker Super Extreme using a Earthquake D2. Now in MECA that sends me straight to M4. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

I can't do a wall. The most I can do is remove the sitting portion of the back seat and place the box behind the front seat. Am I right or would that be a waste of time? Any suggestions?

I was on the Termpro site and some say MECA rates the D2 at 2000 watts? I thought it was 3000watts max?

for some odd reason it's rated at 2kw..

that's what we rated it at this past weekend anyways

So if its rated at 2000 watts and I put the box in the trunk, I should be in CS4. Am I missing something? Is it because the amp would be modded?

1500 watts.....They will/should take the max power rating.

the newer models D2's are to be rated at 3000 watts.. if you have a model newer than the 2001 model... 3000 watts.. and since most / all of the modified D2 amps were not modified by Earthquake, or offered for sale modified by Earthquake, they may send you directly to the highest class.. email somebody at MECA on this matter

I'll lay it flat out.. if you can't build a wall.. stay out of M class.. M classes are full of people who'll do anything it takes to get louder..

I have no intent in going Modified. I want to stay in street class. Competition is too stiff in VA for me to compete Modified, not to mention WV, TN, KY.

Hmm no state records have been set for AS1 in Wisconsin..

AS2 record is - 139

AS3 record is - 143.1

I can borrow a buddies amp that will put me in as1 and take home a nice state record...

Does a alt. upgrade count as a modification? and 2001 EQ D2s are rated at 2000wtts correct?

I don't believe you're allowed to change alternators in Stock class..

for consumer.. you're allowed one extra battery, but not an 8D...

and yes.. 2001 and lower.. 2kw
