Bigbangtheory........?

anybody can point to god, but if we were told tomorrow that there was no god, then what? You would probably find yourself looking into theories like this trying to explain how we are here today.
and who is gonna prove to us that there is no god tomorrow....what if someone tells u tomorrow there is no big bang theory? then what conclusion are u gonna come to....even if that did happen how would we magically appear on this planet and can learn how to adapt the way we did

the big bang theory is only 1 of many theories that try to determine how the universe evolved naturally. Which, i believe there is a great chance of it happening naturally from a supernatural event, rather than god having anything to do with it. I don't really remember where i was trying to get at when i said that, but i think religion is pushed to far. Because i don't think it relates to god at all.

Matter cannot be created, nor destroyed. There for all matter that exists now must have always have existed. Therefore something is eternal.
That theory has held correct so far, but is it reality? I do however believe that we are all a part of the universe, and the universe is a part of us. We are all connected in some way.

I still don't know how they proved that matter can't be created. Do you have a link on that, if not i will continue to look around.

It has to do with energy transfer, etc. too boring of a subject for me to research it in depth, I have always been told that matter cannot be created nor destroyed and I don't see any way of creating matter, if we did so much for our energy crisis.

You can't get something from nothing, pretty logical if you ask me.

sometimes when i think about this topic, i forget shit faster than i can type it. It is that complex. And i agree, you can't get something from nothing, whatever created us didn't always exist, nor did it just appear out of no where. This is what makes me believe that we are all not seeing the true reality of things though, we can't accept the possibility that something came from nothing. How this could be possible, i don't understand. It's like there is a blanket of all things reality covering our minds, and until it is removed we cannot see the "true reality" of things.

Something like that, shit gets hard to explain sometimes.

I find it to be more likely that it always existed, than it came from nothing. But thats just personal belief.

I can see how the universe always existed, kind of. But i can't see how god has always existed, i mean, did he just appear from a huge explosion of energy or something that just happened to be extremely intelligent? Was he the one who decided to make life on this planet, and not the other ones surrounding us? Or are we just fortunate enough to be able to live 1 life here on earth, and then die forever like everything else does due to billions of light years of evolution?

woah there killer, I never said any thing about God. I just said that something has to be eternal, you can extrapolate from that whatever you want. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if he always existed, then he didn't just appear from an explosion... he always was, if there is a god.

As much as i want to agree with this, i just don't think we will ever understand the beginning of the universe because it is much larger than we can even imagine, yes, imagine. It is so big, that it probably holds more history than our brain can even handle. I would however , like to think that one day we could understand it the same way we understand black holes, and prove that that our theories have become science fact, and not a science fiction. With the increase in technology, and the rate it is improving, i do believe that anything is possible in the near future. When i say the near future i mean the next 1000 years or so. To bad we won't be around to get the real answers.
Your reffering to the BB Theory? If so, your wrong because what you really need to understand is that the actual science of the Big Bang theory does not include any bang. The standard cosmological model(that holds evidence), about the history of the universe between a certain point in the past and now. This is established by empirical evidence. It does not, however, deal with the ultimate origin of the universe and is consistent with both a universe of infinite age and a universe of finite age. Most scientists admit that we simply do not know enough about high energy and high temperature physics to adequately describe the state of the universe before a certain point, and yes we're not sure of anything. The way science works is we "theorize" based on a certain amount of evidence and then empirically test these theories in order to "understand" what is around us. So although you are right that we don't fully understand the origins of the universe the Big Bang theory is certainly a step in the right direction and we shouldn't dismiss it out-of-hand because it isn't yet fully understood or doesn't satisfy your need to irrefutably explain the existence of everything.

I do accept it. It makes the most sense to me, and most of the evidence seems to point to it. It doesn't explain what came before this universe, only how this universe started. Therefore, the explanation is adequate for its purpose.

the big bang theory just tells me that maybe one time along time ago, after a previous big bang, an explosion happened from a already once collapsed universe. Seems highly unlikely to me, but at the same time, you never know...... the scientist could be right about what happened that long ago, LOL!

I know the BBT, doesn't have anything to do with how anything started.

not exactly, he doesn't have to have always existed.

Well do you know that the BBT was dropped years ago right?
