My Belle seems to have some problems. It's been this way since I have owned it, but new system goals require it to work 100%.
Here is whats up. The amp runs great if I only use channels 1-2 and the sub section. I ran if for years like this. But, If I try and use all 4 of the front channels it goes into protection at 1/2 volume or so. This is with a 4 ohm load on each channel. It plays fine at lower volumes but then craps out, even if there is no load on the sub section.
Possibly related but I don't know, the sub section will sometimes cut off. In my last install I didn't have anything wired to the sub input, it was getting all it's signal from a 2 channel input. I made a grounding plug out of an old RCA, and when plugged into the sub input this would fix the issue for a bit.
Are these common issues with this amp? More importantly, can it be fixed? I would like to be able to use all 5 channels of this thing.
