Big Bad BIB build *Lots of Pics*

Starting to sound like me...

Moved back home for work over the summer...

Have my B&W 703 System in the Basement and a B&W 804S System upstairs... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If these things stay in the house I've got a vacuum tube amp that has their name written all over it.

Then again I might try selling them on facebook as the loudest party speakers in Manhattan, which I'd like to see something top them.

Or I may put them at home in the woodshop as the sound system there.

They aren't subs, Eminence 12LTA coax PA driver, freq response up to ~8khz.

If your a complete home audio noob, don't build these. They are to f'ing big and massive for any remotely sane person to try. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If your really interested in these, read the thread (ALL OF IT) that I linked to on the previous page.

Would you ship????

hahahhaa.....

Kidding of course, the shipping would be more than the price itself. I think i wanna build some now, how much do they weigh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm guessing roughly 200lbs a piece.

What electronics do you run?
Balls same question...
Nothing too special in the house... I've got some yamaha NS5's that were given to me that is about the only thing worth mentioning...your basic kenwood 100x4 receiver and a sony 5 disc carousel in my bedroom...out in the kitchen I've got an old school sansui that is hooked up to some surprisingly ok sounding jensen 3 way tower speakers and in the living room I've got a technics receiver hooked up to a pair of technics 3 way towers and a really funky sub set up which consists of a jl 12W0 in a ported box that is the wrong size for it, running off a 60 watt old school alpine amp which is plugged into the wall via a modified computer power supply with a 20 amp radio shack noise filter and homemade powered crossover...that shit be funkay...like peanut butter on Rye...I will have to get a pic it's very frankenstein.

Edit: Here's a pic of the funky setup...sorry it's very blurry because I hadthe camera on the wrong distance setting...

may i ask why they are so big? im not so educated on home theatre enclosures so I'm pretty curious.
Thanks in Advance.
Full Horn enclosures are always large. Most of the enclosure is nothing but a horn throat that increases it's throat area along the way. This increase in throat area makes the enclosure large.
