might as well save at least $65000 and buy a used Z06. hell, a japanese spec GTR did the 1/4 in 10.6 seconds straight out of the box, and this was with the GPS speed limiter stopping the car at 112 MPH... wait until we get the non-limited versions...

It is a sexy car, and the GM fanboys sure thinks its gonna be God.

I heard the ole, it has 350ftlbs of torque at 1000rpms, well the 03-04 Cobra had 300ftlbs at 1500rpms with half the motor.

Im not comparing apples to apples but there not on the same car level, and Ford honestly, doesn't have anything to compete with the Vette. Some might say the Big Body Stang is in the same class but its not.

So at the end of the day, the Vette is a nice car. Its just not what I think it could have been.

with that being said, i was raised a ford guy. always had nothing but fords, always...

i probably will never own another one. i have owned a chevy as well, and i will probably never own another one of those as well... i like them both, and if i had to choose between the two, i would probably choose a chevrolet over a ford for power. between the two though, the chevy was the only of the two that ever left me stranded... although it was greatly abused...

not to sound like a nissan fan boy because of the car i own, but the nissan titan is a freaking bad *** truck... i was close to buying one when i needed a truck. the GTR is flat out the best buy for the money (even including dealer mark up it will be less than the corvette ZR1 and will spank it in a straight line and in the twisties...), the new altima is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif imo. hell, even the new accord V6 goes 0-60 in 5 seconds... and for reliability, america can forget it...

regaurdless, we will not know the answer until someone gets both cars in a test. but i would put the GTR against the ZR1 in just about any facet. handling, straights, overall performance, finish quality, gadgets... it is by no means the most amazing car out there. but its a bad *** piece of machinery that is going to hurt alot of these supercars. especially for the price...
