Big 3 wire question, also speaker wire?

a yes first off i plann on doin the big 3 but i was wondering about the wire, i was wonderin is power wire considered as both the positive and the ground wire, cause i found a roll on ebay of power wire in 25 ft, i was wonderin if i can use it as both the positive wire and the ground wire, or do i have to have 2 specific wires? also im going to run a 4 channel amp to my componet speakers, now is the way a mids and highs amp works is you just run a rca signal to the amp from the HU and run the speaker wire from the amp to each speaker, or do i have to use the hu factory speaker wires from the harness, or do you just cancel them out unless using the HU amp?

Power wire is power wire. There are only different sizes.

RCAs from the HU to the amp then amp speaker wire to the component speakers.
